Laias, the descendant of the Water Dragon!

Introduction:

Note: That this guide is based from experience, having her as my "main" healer of the team that I have.

Laias is probably one of the best healers there is now in "King's Raid" franchise, when I say the best, she is! But some of her companions of the Healers Association can still prove very effective that her.

Laias is very effective, when you or your team are absorbing so damage that some healers won't keep up. Her heals are strong depending on the HP % Lost.

She is also a good counter to strong Magic Damage (M.Damage) teams/foes, for her passive grants your entire team a % of M. Defense.

Her Unique Weapon (UW) is also one the best there is when it comes to healers.
Skills:

First skill: "Healing Droplets"
2 Mana 8 sec Cooldown

Heals all allies to a maximum of 46702 HP, depending on their lost amount of health.

1.jpg

Second skill: "Bubble Shield"
2 Mana 15 sec Cooldown
Nerfed now costs 3 Mana

Shields the ally with the lowest HP for 10 sec to block up to 121355, and grant Status Immunity. While shield is in effect, recover 10064 HP every second.

2.jpg

Third skill: "Festival of the Flow"
4 Mana 20 sec Cooldown

Deals 60861 M.DMG to all nearby enemies and knock them down. For all allies (not including self), recover 2 orbs of mana. Afterwards, for 12 sec, random enemies will be hit by a whirlpool and take 40576 M.DMG, as well as be knocked down for 2 sec.

3.jpg

Fourth skill: "Blessing of the Water Dragon"
Passive

Increase M.DEF of all allies by 1294, and gain resistance to Magic Critical Hits by 25%.

4.jpg

:ITEMIZATION:
Gears, Runes, Accessories, Unique Weapon and Artifacts

The stats that you'll need in order to make her the "Unbreakable" support you want. Also provide the initial stats she really needs...

Unbreakable Category

Focus Stats Requires the following:

M.Defense (Magic Defense)
P.Defense (Physical Defense)
Attack (Damage)
Critical Rate (Crit Hit Chance)

Tank Version (Against backstabbers *Assassins*)

M.Defense (Magic Defense)
P.Defense (Physical Defense)
CC (Crowd Control/debuffs)
HP (Health)

[What I am now using]

M.Defense (Magic Defense)
P.Defense (Physical Defense)
Critical Rate (Crit Hit Chance)
HP (Health) or Crit Damage

Normal Build

Atk. Spd. (Attack Speed)
Attack (Damage)
Crit.Dmg (Critical Damage)
Crit Rate (Critical Hit Chance)
So, a lot of you might be wondering...

"Why no damage, it is said that the more you have damage, the better the heals right?"

That is absolute true, but based from her skill "First Skill" that it depends on the "HP that is lost", so the more the hp is lost the better she will heal. And her bubble heals a single target only.

"But what about the attack speed? The faster she hits an enemy, the more useful her UW and heals will be right?"

That is also correct! Based from experience and also from playing the game itself, some healers won't stand a chance from a "Diving Breath skills", which usually kills our support right? This fixes the problem. Also, in PvP our healers are easy targets those assassins more often than that of our tanks. IMO, there is an artifact that boosts our healers atk speed by a certain amount of time, and I'll talk about that later on.

Armors & Accessories + Runes

Protective Armor = Default P.Def
Pick from:
Rune of Patience = P. Defense Rune
Rune of Protection = M. Defense Rune
Rune of Resistance = CC Resist Rune

Secondary = Default M.Def
Pick from:
Rune of the Heartless = Crit Hit Chanche
Yep, this the only choice you have...

Accessories 3 types:

Earrings = Attack
Necklace = M.Def
Circle/Belt = P.Def
Rings = Max HP

My build is Tank so I've picked the Ring.
If you want more damage+heals go for the Earrings.

...Orb...
Just gives more HP for tanking more damage!

Unique Weapon

Flowing Circle, Eltoirre

Upon a Critical Hit, recover the ally with the lowest HP by 80% of dealt damage.
rrrr.jpg
UNIQUE WEAPON RUNES

Runes of Agitation 3x
MP Recovery/Attack +50%

Faster mana recover per hit, plus our artifacts will surely boost our chances of having more mana! Expect to have full mana while our heals are in CD.
or

Runes of Agitation 2x
MP Recovery/Attack +50%
Runes of Fierce Attack 1x
ATK+15%

UNIQUE TREASURE
Papyrus of the Flow
[IMG]
[Festival of the Flow] Whirlpool effect targets 2 enemies and all allies recover additional 500 mana.

Artifacts Needed for Solving the issue of our Attack Speed Problem

Drinking Horn of Ancient Cow
(It's a Golden Cup)
Upon attacking an enemy, there is a 10% chance for 10% of both ATK and ATK Spd to increase for 10 secs.

Golden Cat Statue
(A Golden Cat)
Every battle, Spd is increased by 40% for the first 15 secs.

Adding a little bit of damage is appreciated, 15% is a lot!

What Dragon Item Set to be used?

Red Dragon Set:

2 Sets = 100 Critical Chance
4 Sets = 130 Critical Chance

Red dragon's set is the best choice if you want those critical heals....

Black Dragon Set:

2 Sets = MP/ATK +35% Recovery
4 Sets = MP/ATK +45% Recovery

Black Dragon's set is more of a replenishment for your mana crystals...with the Transcendence Perks, and Runes that you have, I think maybe that it's already a bit over the grid...but why not try it? Yeah, more mana more Skills to be casts!

Blue Dragon Set:

2 Sets = MAX HP+10%
4 Sets = MAX HP+13%

Ice Dragon's set is really build for surviving... nothing more.

Green Dragon Set:

2 Sets = CRITICAL RESISTANCE INCREASE by 100
4 Sets = CRITICAL RESISTANCE INCREASE by

Anti-Crits! Let's you do more tank! Can be useful against AoE critical damage!

:Experimental Build Sets:

v.1
2 Sets (RED) + 2 Sets (BLACK)
100 Critical Chance + MP/ATK +35% Recovery

v.2
2 Sets (RED) + 2 Sets (Blue)
100 Critical Chance + MAX HP+10%

v.3
2 Sets (Black) + 2 Sets (Blue)
MP/ATK +35% Recovery + MAX HP+10%

I think this set works well with the tanking Laias build, not to mention running out of mana would be this build...
v.4
2 Sets (RED) + 2 Sets (GREEN)
100 Critical Chance + 100 Critical Resistance

v.5
2 Sets (BLUE) + 2 Sets (GREEN)
MAX HP+10% + 100 Critical Resistance

v.6
2 Sets (BLACK) + 2 Sets (GREEN)
MP/ATK +35% Recovery + 100 Critical Resistance

Transcendence Perks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
NEW

[OLD]

Transcendence 1 Self Buffs
ATK UP = 30% more ATK
HP UP = HP increases by 30% more.
P.DEF UP! = P.DEF rises by 50%.
M.DEF UP! = M.DEF rises by 50%.

Transcendence 2 Self and Group Buffs

Clutch -
For every 1% of HP lost, Crit Chance rises by 1%. = DPS and HPS

Goddess Blessing - All allies gain 15% Crit Chance. Does not stack. = DPS

Inner Peace - All allies recover 1% HP per sec and gain 15% Status Effect Resistance. Does not stack. = HPS and Defense

Savior - Recovery power rises by 25% and self mana recovery per second rises by 100. = HPS and Mana recovery
Either Inner Peace or Savior would be your best choice here...Goddess Blessing if you want more Buffs to your allies...

T3: Second & Fourth Skill

Second Skill
LIGHT
: Increase Target ATK by 30%.
DARK: Target M. Resistance Increase by 25%.

Fourth Skill

LIGHT
: M. DEF rate increase by 20% and Crit. Resistance increase by 100.
DARK: Increase self CC Resist by 400.
Light would be the best choice for T3, but you can also get LIGHT for Skill 2.

T4: First & Third Skill

First Skill
LIGHT: Heal amount boosted to 40%.
DARK: Upon healing, M. Crit resistance rises by 25%.

40% more healing yes please! But, you wanna look at the other one below this!

Third Skill
LIGHT: DMG effect occurs every 3s.
DARK: Heals all Allies by 15% of their max HP.

You want to take the DARK side, for every time it hits an enemy, it heals your allies! And this procs the other passive she will have in T5 perk!

T5: LIGHT vs DARK

LIGHT: ATK, DEF, HP+10% / M.Block +200.
[OLD]DARK: Laias increases M.DEF equal of 3% of her ATK to all ALLIES she heals, as well as giving them 300 MANA each.
So, as you can see, these buff is applied to all of her heals! Every heals she cast gives them M.DEF and MANA every time she HEALS!

[NEW]T5 Darkā–¶ Laias

Even with the changes, I think it didn't affected my main team's mana regen... she still the best healer there is.

GAME PLAY
So, what are mechanics of having this build up?
Simple, stay alive for your team to stay alive...simple right?

What are the rules to keep your team alive?

Simple, you already have the Defenses, all you need is to get that Crit to 60%+ and you're good to go... even of you have no damage, her heals are dependent to the "lost"...but yeah more damage more heals right? But if you can stay alive as well as your tank, you can do both worlds at the same time.

More info. about this build...

Your healer (Laias) will go down hard, even the strongest assassins will have to hit for awhile to make her on her knees, I assure you that. While your front-line deals damage, at the same time keeping yourself alive.

This build will make you even durable in raids!
It has less damage, but more chances of staying alive.

Certain Heroes great with Laias are as follows...

Knights
Morrah
Rating: S+

Her Tanking abilities is great with Laias, especially when combined with her passive "Blessing of the Water Dragon" and Morrah's active skill, "Hellfire". This becomes the perfect counter against Heavy Magic User teams in PvP, or even in Heavy Magic PvE maps/monsters.

Jane
Rating: S+
Now this girl is undoubtedly one of or "the best" tankers there is today...she doesn't just comes back to life, but she heals an exaggerated amount by herself! Combined with Laias bubble thingy she is immune to CC, plus giving her some artifacts that will surely grant this tanker the Title "Annoying" to play against...

Clause
Rating: A+
Adds an outstanding P.Def to all your allies, plus having good decent CC, but he is commonly used for anti P.Damage type foes.

Mechanic
Annette
Rating: S-

Considered as a Damage dealer but has a trick up her sleeves, no? This baby packs a punch while serving as a secondary support to your allies. Not only that she increases your teams Crit Chances (which Laias needs), but also removes all negative effects! What can else can you ask for?

Certain Heroes that is a great threat to Laias are as follows...

Demia: Yes, her hooks can easily get her...but if you get CC in your build chances are she stays at the back line and lives to tell the tale...

Selene: "Time to Rune" = Dead... But, but! If you have HP and a decent amount of P.Def you can survive...

Backstabbers A.K.A Assassins: are the number one threat to healers, that is why I've made this build for those slippery assassins...

Nuke Teams

The Selene + Maria Combo
Pray you don't get 1 shot.

Pavel and Dimael is countered
Can be countered by Morrah and Laias Passive

Those with hard CC

Maria
Pavel
Dimael

Pros and Cons of this Build
Pros:

Durable in both Raids and PvP.
Higher chances of staying alive in raids.
Can still heal allies to the same amount as a normal healer would do. ( A little )
Tanky and has lots of defenses.

Cons:

No damage. (what've you expect?)
The second skill "Bubble heal" heals at exact amount only, coz u haz nu damage...
PvP Example of How Tanky you can Get

Ohhh, you can swap clause for Morrah, for added dps, because of her flames...

So you will be relying on Magic DPS right? Cleo+Lorraine and Morrah is a massive DPS! Ember + Poison + Hellflames are surely you main source of damage...and if you have theire UW, it may get even stronger...

Kaulah is already good as your healer :)

btw, if your Tanya can always crit, get her ...switch between Cleo to Tanya as your source of P.Damage....

But Lorraine,Cleo,Morrah and Kaulah is already op imo...

CHeers!

This guide has been super helpful!

What would be your recommendations for Laias's Trans 2 Skill?

Thank you so much! glad you liked it!

So between this two, choose one...

Inner Peace - All allies recover 1% HP per sec and gain 15% Status Effect Resistance. Does not stack. HPS and Defense.

This skill grants you regeneration per/sec, meaning you will heal every second plus gaining 15% status resistances, a very rounded perk.

Savior - Recovery power rises by 25% and self mana recovery per second rises by 100. HPS and Mana recovery.

This is more for the benefit of Laias alone, for she gains extra Recover and mana per/sec. So, this is very standard to use if you're having trouble getting that Mana regen. If you are, then this the one for you.

Fantastic. With the build I've got her on (very similar to yours at this point) I have absolutely no problem with mana regen. So it looks like inner peace is the way to go for now. Half the time I'm waiting on her cool downs and she'll have full mana.

Thank you so much for your help! I run a guild and a lot of my guildmates use Laias as well so this guide has been very helpful for us.

Thank you so much! I'm glad that it help you and your build set.

If you pick "Inner Peace" you and your allies will go down quite some time!

Hi! First of all, thanks for this guide. My Laias is still only lvl. 42 but this will really help building her in the long run.
Just to clarify: Since I'm still only farming and using T4 items and my Laias does not have her UW yet, the Black Dragon set is the best choice right? Does the Red Dragon critical set help Laias in any way without her UW?

Without any UW, Laias is not that reliable with Critical...but even without it, Laias is still pretty darn good as healer~

But with UW, she is so OP with Critical build! With each critical hits (normal attacks/auto-attacks) she heals your allies! That's how good she is~

Yep, Red dragon is good on her, I prefer you use the 2 Reds 2 Black~
